Christian Prayer for Marriage
Dear Christian Friend,
There are specific prayers for restoration of marriage.
If you want to learn how to pray for a husband or wife, or other Christian prayers for marriage, Marjorie’s testimony here gives us a clue.
Restoration of your marriage is possible even now if you’ll take your case to the LORD in prayer. By prayer I mean targeted, persistent, and aggressive, enough-is-enough kind of prayer.
Your prayers for the day must include at least 3 targeted prayers for marriage (like the one in this video), among other things.
And you must keep on calling upon the LORD until the answer comes.
Why?
Because the scripture encourages us to keep on bombarding heaven until we receive our answers:
“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: you that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.”
- Isaiah 62:6-7

If you are asking: How to pray for my stubborn husband or wife? There you have your answer.
God wants you to “disturb” Him with your prayers until milk and honey is restored into your marriage or relationships.
This is a secret that all prayer eagles know … and I encourage you to at least give it a try.

I hope my testmony will help and encourage other Christian ladies who might have the opportunity to read it. At one time, I almost gave up on my marriage and was seriously considered divorce. Even some of my friends and relatives were advising to leave him.
I was in an abusive relationship for 17 years until 2007.My husband used to drink every single day, thereafter he would be abusive physically and verbally.
He had a good well paying job but had nothing to show for it.
When I came across Elisha Goodman’s Firesprings Ministries where Elisha was teaching passionatley about marriages and how the devil was working tirelessly to destroy marriages.
Elisha’s teaching especially after joining the prayer academy , I woke up from my spiritual slumber to a prayer eagle. I believed in God for my husband’s deliverance.During my midnight prayers, my husband would complain and I had to do prayers in the bathroom.
After six months of aggressive praying, one day after prayers I heard a soft voice “MY CHILD YOUR WISH HAS BEEN GRANTED” The following Sunday my husband told me hewas coming to church with me and the kids.
He has never looked back.He is now a stronger prayer warrior than me.He goes to the bible school every Tuesday without and is teaching and encouraging fellow men to pray and grow spiritually.He is the loving husband and father I so wished for.
I thank and praise the ever faithful and wonderful God for his abundant love. Do not give up on your marriage Mary , believe in God and he will do the rest.

I also hope that my testimony will inspire you to seek the face of the Lord for your marital problems. Some couple of years ago, my marriage broke down irretrievably. My husband walked out on me and my children when we had just joined him overseas where he had gone for studies. He had become a male prostitute to put it lightly. He had multiple affairs and was having sex orgies (threesomes etc). I had no where to turn to except the Lord. At that time I didnt know about this website so my praying was by trial and error basically. Everybody told me to file for divorce and start afresh, I had no source of income or anyone to rely on. I went on a fast for seven days where I didnt touch water or food, in in that space of time I had revelations that I cannot even begin to mention here. To cut a long story short after two years of praying and fasting the Lord came through for me and today our marriage has been restored. My children and husband are all serving the Lord and we have just started a fellowship where we stay in this tiny island. It makes two of wishing and having the desire to get married. I just needed to tell you that God does not with hold any thing that is good for His children. He has the best interest at heart for His son or daughter.
When you wait and seek the Lord, He will always come through for you. I dont know why God is sorrounding me with weddings and married people. I want to get married and prayed about it but scared becaose i have been hurt too many times. I know mt God will make a way for me. A month ago my pastor called on all single laddies who want to get married so he can pray for us, last friday we got a prophecy that one of the laddies will get married in september, yoh I was so happy for her that i was jumping up an down. but praying plz God not this soon for me,what is my problem? I hear you on wanting to be married. My encouragement is this: Continue to rejoice with your sister who has received her prophecy from the Lord.
Take comfort in this: The Lord makes all things beautiful in His time, He is never late.
Immerse yourself in the things of God, diligently searching the Scriptures and praying. In other words, delight yourself in the Lord…..and He will grant you the desire of your heart.
Do not make wanting to get married an idol such that it will be all you pray for…seek God the Giver of good things. An earlier posting quoted the Word of God saying “no good thing does He withhold from him whose walk is blameless” Ps 84:11

There is want, desire and fear because of past experiences. You have been hurt so many times and now you are scared of getting married afraid of being hurt once again. It is only normal to feel this way after being hurt however our God is awesome working on our behalf and committed to see us through when we seek him diligently.
It is good that you are waiting on the Lord in this issue, though in your last sentence you say praying God not me not too soon! my dear u have to forgive yourself for the heartache u went through. Take sometime to pray and seek forgiveness for the other parties they could have been hurt too, forgive and get rid of bitterness if any and all fear. Ask the Holyspirit to guide you and then you can pray for your marriage.
Prov. 3:5-6, commit all unto the Lord, lean not on your own understanding, acknowledge God and He shall make plain your path. Yes He shall lead and show you the way.
Our God is not limited by Lunar calender he is a God of all seasons, just let Him take charge

Elisha i lov this man me and him had a relationship years back and weparted ways and this year we meet and he had gonne through painful divroce and afterwards he meet another lady who gave him a kid but things are not ok because he told me the lady is cheating on hin and they broke up.I love this man and i think God wanted me to help him from the darkness he has been going through in life.The problem is i meet him while he was going through frustrations .See he messege he sent me.Lord if he is meant to be my husband let it be so.i dont want to loose him and i have God`s purpose in his life.Please couch me on how to pray for this challenge

Baby you told me what you went through ka your previous relationships, you have been hurt and you went through hell so to speak. I am very happy we met after a decade but i must hasten to let you know, you found me hurt and frustrated from my relationships too. I am of the opinion that im not yet ready for a relationship. I know you want someone who can give you love and of course i do love you so much but my fear is that you may be hurt again because of my current situation. So i hurt to be part of those who previous broke your heart.
So please lets hold our horses for now and try this in future, probably after i had managed to surpass the emotional stress that im currently going through. I think im not myself yet and i need more time to heal. I will appreciate a lot if can understand me.

This man has told you the plain truth. He is hurting and need to reorganize himself. You were friends before but headed life in different paths, you meet again bruised and hurting. You still love this man and are ready to take him as your husband.
Darling, talk to God about it and seek His will. Do not go to prayer with a preconcieved idea on this relationship. Marriage is taking two diffrent worlds and forsaking them, letting go, to embrace a one world of 2 imperfect individuals and living in it. Please take some time and pray and fast about this because marriage is a life committment and once entangled, not easy to let go. Seek the will of God and lay the foundation of your marriage.

I agree with the writer of the message who has clearly stated his stand point to you that you both should not start anything now in terms of a relationship. God is the one who created you and knows exactly who he has made for you and at the right time He will let your paths cross. Please put your whole trust in Him because He NEVER fails and will never do. My personal testimony is that I had also been hurt in my previous relationship that I thought it was not worth having another trial and error- kind of a relationship ( let#s try and see how far we get -kind of a relationship)any more so I immersed myself in God and settled it that God was able to bring my husband to knock on my door if need be. With this attitude I closed the door to any search for a partner and lo and behold, God brought my now-husband to me miraculously. He is able to do exceedingly above all that we could ask or imagine so PLEASE put your trust in Him. It cost less to trust Him that to take matters into your hands and act. He loves you and has only good things instore for you so make Him first priority in your life and all these things shall be added onto you as the bible says. Be an overcomer

Today I learned that in every difficult situation (doing things that are not easy to do, ie letting go of a partner that you still love etc), You should look up to God, put your trust and focus on Him and learn to discover who the boss is. Meaning that are you the boss over your problems or are your problems the boss over you?

My story goes as this. A week ago I met gentlemen, and we went out just for drinks. The sad part is that, he has emotional stuff that he needs to deal with and he kept on saying that he wants to connect with on an intimate level, and i had to say to him, love not tonight. He spoke about how much he loves his ex-wife and kids and desires to get back with the family.
He did admit that it was his faulty with what happened to his family. Why i am writing this to you is that, please do stand in agreement in prayer with me that God interven to bring the family together. He is a lovely caring father that he is tired of traveling every six weeks to visit his children in Australia. The other thing he said that he cant settle down with any body because he really doesnt know what he wants in life. The other thing sir, i have to admit is that i am having strong emotions for this man, i just need help with Holy Spirit to do the right thing. My says he must get back to his wife, but also for me on the other hand i truly want to be with him.

You are right. But with the help of the Holy spirit and coaching from the prayer academy you will be able to do so. First start with Praise and worship then enter a session of pray telling god the desire of your heart. Remember the disciples did say Lord teach us to prayer. Luke 11:1

What is happening is the scheme of the devil to discourage you and cause you to lose hope as well as your destiny and purpose and unfortunately he can use anyone including one’s husband. He is the accuser of the brethren; but you should remember that Jesus Christ paid it all on the cross. The blood of Jesus Christ stands as evidence against all accusations. I will however advise that you join the prayer academy (if you haven’t joined already) so that you get all the nuggets to apply in this situation. Louis, I do not know the foundation of your marriage, but what i know is we have a big God, you have been to hospitals yes, whatever the results i.e medical diagnosis. you have focused on this issue and it overwhelming and affecting ur marriage.

I am so grateful every time i read all these testimonies that are sent to you, I really feel that God is a faithful God. My question is, can i still pray the prayers, “27 minutes to midnight 2011 version” even if we’re in the mid year? Secondly, I am a single lady and i still have hope that i will meet a man to marry, can anyone send me prayers that can connect me to a God fearing man to marry. I have met so many men who are not serious with marriage, all they want is to play around. thank you Elisha for your website and midnite praying. i have been able to pray and rebuke the enemies use of power via my dreams and believe you me…I have sweetest dreams ever since! now i want to overcome the problem of spiritual husband( i believe).I really feel someone fondling me when asleep; even when partially awake. I remember touching it one day and a male voice grumbled;another day it wanted to mount on me but I called jesus name and it vanished.Am curerently in a relationship with a divorcee but am constantly wrong picking on him but he has remained very patient with me.I tell myself he does not love me and tried to end it but he will not let me.i think he loves me but something in me tells me to push him away and that he is lying. Please help me out of this spiritual enemy…am battling so hard with it.Give me prayer points to attack it surgically.

I suppose I can use these prayer points for my husband too. I will be fasting and praying for my husband for 3 days starting from 1 July. He is severly oppressed at night and mustarbates persistently. The Lord showed me a vision about this situation in 2009. My husband and I were standing near a field carrying a floodlight. Then a woman appeared carrying a tiny sharp light and pointed it to me. I kept on asking if my husband can see this but he said no. This woman came and brushed my husband with a jersey that was around her shoulders. My husband said’ This is what I want” At that point he started musturbating next to me in our bed in real life. I am going to join the prayer academy as well because we have a solid marriage but when this spirit starts oprressing him, it affects intimacy and he becomes distant.

Brethrens, I am calling on you all to help me in prayer as I humbly seek God to restoring my broken marriage. I have problems with my husband who listens so much to his mom to the extent that he cant listen to me. Our luv stalled. He moved to another bedroom & 1 day as I tried to talk to him, begging him we resolve our issues he told me he can’t share a bed with me. I had to move out due to the humiliation I was going through. We have a child together. He lost his job soon after we started living together. I got a job and so I was providing all along. I resigned from job as I was moving but God blessed me with another job.
All I need is restoration of the marriage, God to minister to him in a special way to see that I still love him and need him in my life. My mother in law to stop hating me so much for nothing that I have done and for him to be blessed with a job. Our luv to be restored and our family unit to stand despite the phases that the enemy has put us through. For what God has put together must be holy and respected. Prosperity to be the mark in our lives.
My husband is a child of a single mother and it pains me to realise that his own child will grow up without him close.
I need a guidance on how to target-pray for these situations. May God stand in the gap as I go on my knees to seek his face. For His WILL will be done in Jesus Name.

Please pray the prayers for restoring terrific relationships in the Prayer cookbook for busy people. Also combine the prayers with fasting.
Have you gone through the prayer academy? If not plan to join as this will enable you to deal with deep foundational issues that may be affecting your marriage.
Do not be bitter with your mother in-law or your husband, forgive them as this is the only way the Holy Spirit will work in your life.

These prayers in addition to other issues, target our foundations which may be hindering one’s prayers. Once your foundation is dealt with, you can proceed to page 78 that deals with troubled relationships. You’ll need to combine these prayers with fasting as stated in the book.

i write today to give glory and praise to God ALMIGHTY, i started using your blazing hot prayer bullets in Feb this year, by that time i was filled with alot of anger over my boyfriend whom i felt had betrayed me. With time, the Lord reopenned my heart and mind and i have been able to rediscover through continous prayer that i had a terrible spirit of unforgiveness and impatience. am soo glad that the Lord himself has slowly repositioned my life and has offloaded my heart of that heavy baggage that i was carrying. i have been able to reconcile with my inlaws and iam positive that the lord will reconcile me and my boyfriend aswell in Jesus’s mighty name. secondly, i had also accumulated alot of debts but iam delighted to testify that the Lord enabled me to get money and i have paid up 95% of my debts, i know the 5% will also be history soon in Jesus’ mighty name. For sure this is the day that the Lord has made of which my Creator has allowed deliverance coming knocking at my door.
For 2 years I could not buy anything because of a haman and goliath that had hanged and chopped my head. Dear Elisha,please continue to pray with me and for me pertaining to my job situation. Hardly a week back ,I was full of praise and jubilation for the job which the Lord has blessed me with. today would have been my third day on the job,unfortunately the spirit of Pisgah(Almost there,but the blessing stolen) seem to have reared its ugly head in my life, as one of the bosses called me in today,saying that the client who’s portfolio I would have been responsible for ,is not happy with me handling the portfolio in question. I have a suspicion on who is responsible for this, as there is a certain gentlemen in this company whom i would say hate my guts. I hold no grudges against him,have forgiven him for everything he has put me through and even asked the Lord to cleans my heart should there be any other ill feelings that I may be holding in my heart. I am continuing with my midnight prayers and pray that the Lord will disgrace every power assigned to disgrace me in the name of Jesus, and that the Almighty will clear any obstacles along the way of me landing a job. I still need to discuss this turn of events with my new employer as they indicated that they will have more information of Friday. I got divorced in 2005 after being married for 13 years. The questions i have is if i meet a BOAZ, am I allowed to marry seeing I am divorced. I read scriptures in the bible I discovered there’s no verses or scriptures that state its okay to marry after divorce,
1. Matthew 19:9- ‘I tell you, then, that any man who divorces his wife for any cause other than her unfaithfulness, commits adultery if he marries some other woman’
When i look at my situatuion my husband fell out of love, because he met another woman and of which he made it clear to me that he does not love me and he wants a divorce for he is the one that filed for the divorce.
2 1 Cor 7:10-11′For married people I have a command whichis not my own but the LORDS’s: a wife must not leave her husband; but if she does, she must remain single or else be reconciled to her husband; and a husband must not divorce his wife.’
After reading the scriptures, i am really confused because here I am saying I desire to marry but, the word of God says the other. Yes Jesus has left and sent the comforter the Holy Spirit to teache, reveal and guide me. Also the word of God says that he who has an ear let him hear what is the Spirit saying. I really need a verse or scripture from the bible that says when you are divorced, you can marry.
The other thing is I have forgiven my ex-husband and its time for me to move on, and i am asking in Jesus name that he does not come back to me, bcause I have made it right woith my heart and I believe that its time for me to move on. This seems as if its really complicated.

His contract as a volunteer ended on 30 June 2011. He would like to stay on in Namibia as a permanent resident and would like to have a permanent job here. He is a lecturer in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Accounting, Physics (and more). He applied for a permanent job at the University and other places. He is also looking for permanent place to stay. In order for him to pay a house or flat, he need to have a monthly income. Please pray that God will open financial doors for him and provide a suitable place to stay. He believe in Jesus. Please pray for a 100% repentance and commitment to God. He live a stable and sober life. He is from Egypt, but due to the present circumstances there, it is of no use for him to go back, due to the unrest and high rate of unemployment. He would like to settle in Namibia.

I hope that this is going to be an encouragement to someone.
I will say out now that God is indeed good.. great and greatly to be praised.
I completed successfully completed the level 1 of the prayer academy and graduated to the 24 hour blog. I somehow found myself falling back a bit in my diligence to my prayer life.. however I knew and felt that i was empty in my spirt and soul.
I felt a struggle within me to prayer aggressively. I really struggled within myself.. but through the verse.. ‘ Return to the Lord, return Oh Israel ‘ kept coming to my mind and i would say it often.
OH I WOULD PRAY BUT THERE WAS NO FIRE IN MY PRAYERS
I would say I am going to prayer at midnight but …would feel too tired to do so . I would get up in early morning and prayer but with no fire.
Last week i got an email from Bro Elisha and having read it a hunger for things of God rose up and burst out from me.
The words of Bro Elisha, the words of encouragement from the other Prayer eagles.. Jane and her new job acquisition as well as other stories of answered prayers, encouraged me again.
Of course I have weeks of reading to do to catch up and be allowed to enter the golden journey.. but there will be joy as i walk and talk with my Lord and Saviour once again and fire my prayer bullets to wreck destruction on the forces of the evil one.

Please help me in prayers in brothers and sisters. I have been in an abusive marriage for over 3 years now out of the 4 years we have veen together. I constantly feel like all hope have been lost and i am always depressed. I love my husband but he have no time for me and my son.
